CS-200 Spectrally Based Colorimeter
"The rapid growth of the information technology industry, including digital imaging and broadcasting, has prompted the development of more advanced light-emitting devices. There is a greater need for high-performance, cost-effective meters to keep up with the new technologies," says Tom Kwon, Business Unit Manager for CS-200. "This is especially true with the increased interest in ISO and other quality assurance standards in industry today. That's where the advanced capabilities and ergonomic design of Konica Minolta's Chroma Meter CS-200 comes in."
The CS-200 maintains Konica Minolta's commitment to user-friendly operation and competitive pricing while at the same time utilizing the most advanced technological breakthroughs for measuring luminance and chromaticity.
The high accuracy of the Chroma Meter CS-200 is achieved by a "spectral fitting" method that utilizes 40 sensors to make detailed measurements over a wide range of light and color levels.
A precision aperture mirror eliminates misalignments between the finder target and the actual measuring area. Three measuring angles (1°, 0.2°, and 0.1°) can be selected to accommodate both very small and large measurement areas. Measurements can be synchronized with a display, and the CS-200 has a built-in USB interface allowing the sharing of data with any other device that is USB-ready.
The new spectrally based colorimeter is just under four pounds (without batteries), making it easy to hold and operate, and it is ergonomically designed to enable accurate handheld measuring without difficulty. Measuring times range from 0.5 seconds to 12 seconds. Battery life is approximately 3 hours. (An AC adapter is also supplied.)
